In this current era of reality TV show madness, it seems that singers could almost be separated into two categories: ones who made it on their own and are therefore naturally expected to have some level of credibility/talent, and ones who win an 'idol' type competition, and although highly gifted vocally, should usually stick with being supreme karaoke contenders. Unfortunately, after the first listen to Overcome, Alexandra Burke would likely be lumped in with the latter. She is an English singer and winner of the fifth series of the UK television singing talent show The X Factor.
