Kate Moss Jamie Hince Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for supermodel Kate Moss and her rocker fianceé Jamie Hince because just hours ago the couple were married in Cotswold, England. Moss and Hince have been coupled up since 2007 (shortly after Kate broke up with troubled singer Pete Doherty) and got themselves engaged to be wed back in February. Clearly [...]

Late yesterday afternoon, David and I met up with our dear friend Gillian and a group of new friends at the Cat and Fiddle Pub in Hollywood to hang out, share stories and break bread together. Altho it was a pretty hot day, we managed to enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather in the cool shade. The rest of the day was pretty low key … so it was basically the perfect lazy Summer day.

The Cat & Fiddle Pub is one of the first places I visited on my first visit to LA all those years ago and I always forget what a great place it is. The atmosphere is so relaxed. Unfortch the location isn’t the best which means that parking is a nightmare but I was reminded yesterday how much I love that place :)

As I mentioned, the rest of the day was pretty quiet … David and I just hung out at home. I love how you can literally feel things slowing down as we settle into Summer. This weekend, especially, will be a lazy one … the 4th of July holiday weekend should be a fun, quiet 4 days. I hope all y’all have a fun weekend! Enjoy it!! Happy Friday!

How to String a Violin

This song is from Carolyn's first album and it was the first album that I listened to when I first heard her. She so very much is a prolific lyricist and songwriter. I believe this song in particular embodies these qualities. In storytelling fashion, Carolyn Arend's 'Seize the Day' captures her prolific writing and singing.

Arts and Entertainment:Music from EzineArticles.com

What was it about rockabilly music that held such strong appeal to the youth of the 1950s? Why was the music so powerful and why did it become such a defining force in American culture and then worldwide culture? And how has the music's appeal evolved over time? What makes modern fans love the music as much as--if not more--than the fans of the 1950s. I'm not sure those are questions that can truly be answered, but I'm willing to try!

Jazz: The Growth of Contemporary Jazz Music

Taking piano lessons requires commitment. You need to practice regularly in order to progress. Otherwise, every time you return to the piano, you waste time relearning techniques you should have already mastered. If you own an iPad, you can use basic skills to record and share your music - and as you improve your mastery, evidence of your progress can quickly and easily be captured on the iPad.

Guitar Jam Tracks A Site by Site Comparison

For many years, EVH has earned a distinguishing mark that only the brand deserves for its guitar lines, amps and musical products. Guitar reviews ratings have consistently put EVH guitars on top of the list. This is because of Van Halen's personal touch to every piece before it comes out in the market.

True Blood Premiere Brings In The Ratings, ALMOST Sets A Record For Viewership!

Pret-ty impressive!
The True Blood season four premiere may not have set a new record for viewership…but it came VERY close!
The TB episode with the most viewers so far aired in season three and brought in 5.44 million. Sunday night's episode ALMOST beat it with 5.424 mil viewers!
We're just glad to see the show continuing to [...]

Meet Braxton and Alaska. On this week's episode of Toddlers & Tiaras, you'll see how their mom Lori as groomed them both in to perfect pageant participants.

Daughter Alaska has already won herself a crown or two, but her brother is eager to come up from behind and snatch away the gold from her. This boy has got more sass in his lil' baby pinky toe than some people have in their whole body. You have to see this to believe it!

Check out the video (above) to see a sneak peek from this week's episode!

True Blood Season 4 Opener Scores Record Ratings

The new season of “True Blood” kicked off this past Sunday (June 26) and it seems they’re still on top of their game.

According to a report, the season premiere nabbed 5.4 million viewers to match its own record that was established with the Season 3 closer.

Additionally, the network played an encore performance of the episode, scoring yet another 1 million viewers on opening night.

And of course, there were plenty of surprises to be had, including Eric’s purchase of Sookie’s house and Tara’s new obsession with cage fighting.

Watch: Pixar Releases A First Trailer For Their Next Animated Film Brave

In March we got our first tease of Pixar Animation‘s first female protagonist Princess Merida, the star of their next animated film Brave. In May we got our first good look at her when Disney/Pixar released the first official promo photos. Today we get to see Merida in action in the first trailer released for [...]

So … Sunday … yeah. The day started out beautifully enough … the sun was shining, the temps were warm but not insanely hot … it seemed like the perfect day to get out and enjoy the sunshine. In actuality, my Sunday turned out to be a great day to lounge on the couch … all … day … long. Did you know there are places out there that will deliver food, drink and pretty much anything else your heart desires right to your doorstep? ‘Tis true.

David and I are used to having food delivered but we planned on getting out of the house, at least, to grab dessert. As the day faded into night and the new season of True Blood came on our TV, our plans to leave fell apart. We placed an order with Pink Dot to have ice cream and other delicious desserts delivered to our home. As far as lazy days go … yesterday was among the laziest. And it was glorious ;)

Today, David and I have a lot of chores to take care of around the house … tonight, we’re hoping to hang with some friends. I have to say … this is my fave time of the year. Early Summer is the best ever :D

Homophobe Michele Bachmann Is Running For President

So, we know who we're NOT voting for!
Space Cadet Rep. Michele Bachmann officially announced her presidential campaign this morning from her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa. It was speculated that she might run, but very few people thought she'd actually go through with it, considering that she's basically Sarah Palin 2.0 and we see how well [...]

James Taylor Album

The other day, I was at a local high school football game, and I heard a song that I recognized. It was from a movie that I had seen a long time ago, but could not quite remember which. I realized at that moment how great band music was, because they play music that many of us recognize, but never really appreciated while it was actually happening.

Acoustic Treatments for Churches

Dear New Acoustic Guitar Player: I know you are sick and tired. You are sick and tired of playing the acoustic guitar while you sing but can't really hear yourself because what you are playing is very loud. You have tried to strum lightly to get it quieter but the attempt just makes strumming very uneven. You barely touch the strings and miss them often whenever you try to play lightly. You hear people like Jack Johnson play and find that their guitars are so quiet compared to when you hear yourself play. Their playing sounds really nice and you can't help but wonder: how can I play quietly like them? Well here's how:
